[Citizens National Bank Jumps Through Hoops for Hollowell Dog Training]

Hollowell Dog Training is owned by Diane Laratta, with Carla Amstutz serving as the business manager. With over 35 years of experience in training, breeding and showing dogs, Laratta is a wealth of information. She serves as a mentor to people that want to become dog trainers, provides seminars, and contributes articles for the Lima News promoting the responsibility of dog care and ownership. In addition to dog obedience training classes, doggie day care and grooming, Hollowell Dog Training provides unique services not seen at many other facilities. With an in-depth knowledge of dog behavior, Laratta educates local law enforcement officials on how to read dog body language for the protection of both the officer and the dog. Additionally, she teaches dog training for the pet program at the Allen County Correctional Institute. Once rescued dogs are properly trained by the inmates, the dogs are able to be adopted into good homes. A believer that dogs and people have a positive impact on each other, Laratta offers Therapy Dog International Certification testing. Hollowell is the only facility in a ten county area that can certify dogs for therapeutic services in nursing homes. By offering training courses including the American Kennel Club Canine Good Citizen Certification, Laratta strives to make the relationships between dogs and their humans positive and enjoyable.
Laratta has banked at Citizens’ Elida Branch for over six years. She says, “I always feel welcome at Citizens. The people are friendly and they know me by name. They even welcome my dogs with biscuits!” She feels that one of the biggest advantages of using Citizens for both business and personal banking is the great customer service she receives.
