[Citizens National Bank Takes Care of Vancrest Health Care Center's Needs]
Citizens National Bank is proud to have Vancrest Health Care Center as one of its customers. Pat Ryan, Senior Vice President and Van Wert City President, states, “I’ve really enjoyed working with Mark and the Vancrest team. I’m impressed with their contribution to the local communities, both in terms of quality health care and the economic impact they provide in regard to employment and economic growth.”
Vancrest Health Care Center consists of a family of health care facilities that provide specialized, personalized care based upon the individual’s needs, including traditional nursing home care, Alzheimers units, short-term rehabilitation, assisted living, respite and hospice services. Started in 1960 by Dr. Edward White, Vancrest now has facilities in Van Wert, Delphos, Holgate, Convoy, Greenville and Eaton. Today, Vancrest is a major employer with approximately 1,500 full and part-time employees. The nursing homes have 550 beds and there are 150 assisted living units. Mark White serves as President, Jon Bagley serves as Chief Operations Officer, and Mark McCleery serves as Chief Financial Officer. Working with the patient to achieve success and independence, Vancrest partners with the Van Wert County Hospital to provide home health care and outpatient therapy and rehabilitation services. Vancrest strives to provide clean, comfortable and secure facilities; competent, caring employees; nutritional food; and meaningful, varied activities to provide the best service possible for its patients.
Having had a previous banking relationship with Ryan, White brought the Vancrest accounts to Citizens when Ryan began working for Citizens in 2002. White says, “Our philosophies are similar. We focus on providing exceptional service and being part of the community in western Ohio rural markets.” He adds that Ryan takes a sincere interest in, and has a good understanding of his business. He is impressed that Ryan has visited each of the Vancrest facilities and has a thorough knowledge of the operations, unique as each facility is. Having built on to every facility Vancrest has bought, White feels that Citizens has displayed that it is able to accommodate his growing company’s needs.
White says, “Pat understands banking better than anyone else I know.” He adds that Ryan gives him options and together, they construct a lending program that meets Vancrest’s needs. He has confidence in the local decision making process at Citizens, knowing that Ryan has put together a lending program that works and is tailored to the individual facility. Additionally, Ryan has introduced him to Citizens business online banking product, Online for Business. White appreciates the convenience and immediate access to view accounts, ACH transactions, and cash and treasury management services. Additionally, he feels that Pat and the other Citizens staff do a great job providing information, training and follow-up on Online for Business, and other services such as sweep accounts and money markets.
