Brittany Brubaker and Lindsey Wollam
When Bob and Lindsey Wollam decided to move back to Ohio so that he could work in his family's agriculture business the first thing they needed to do was to find a new home. Family friends told them about a house that was coming up for sale that might work for them. They were excited to find a home in the country that was close to family. The second challenge was finding a bank to finance it. "Because we were out of state we had trouble finding a bank that would work with us. A family friend, Brad Spitnale, works at Citizens National Bank in Defiance and he recommended we work with Brittany Brubaker there to apply for our loan. We had purchased three homes previously so we were pretty familiar with the process and the paperwork that would be involved. This was by far the easiest purchase we've made," states Lindsey. The Wollams were living in Michigan at the time and the majority of the home purchase process was completed over the phone and by email. "Brittany was really friendly and just made it easy, sending me what I needed and walking me through everything on their end. I knew she was always a phone call or email away," comments Lindsey.
Being unfamiliar with the area, but feeling comfortable with the relationship she'd developed with Brittany, Lindsey decided to open their personal accounts with CNB in Defiance as well. "Being new to the area I didn't know anyone, but when I walked into the branch they knew me by name and made me feel right at home. I appreciated that!" exclaims Lindsey. Now as the Wollams have settled into their new surroundings, the kids to a new school and Lindsey to being a stay at home mom, Lindsey says she feels like she's not only found a new bank, but formed a friendship with Brittany. "I would definitely recommend working with Brittany and CNB if you're looking to purchase a home. It was a great experience."
