The Kinsinger’s – Multiple Businesses, the Right Bank
When Jason and Tammy Kinsinger purchased Vetter Lumber in 2019, they weren’t just adding another venture to their portfolio; they were stepping into a legacy. With locations in Bluffton and Fort Jennings, Vetter Lumber has long served as a full-service hardware store and custom home design partner for its surrounding communities. From cabinetry and kitchen design to decks, lumber, nuts, bolts, and everyday hardware needs, it remains a trusted resource for homeowners and contractors alike.
For the Kinsingers, Vetter Lumber is just one piece of a broader landscape of family enterprises. They also operate a farm, raise 45–50 head of cattle each year, and manage a collection of rental properties. Through all of it, they rely on strong partnerships with Citizens National Bank and CNB’s Bluffton Market President, Brandt Miller, to keep things running smoothly.
Jason’s relationship with CNB goes back decades. He opened his first personal accounts with the bank in the early 1990s, and his wife Tammy even worked as a teller during that time. So, when the opportunity to purchase Vetter Lumber arose, turning to CNB felt natural.
“No matter what venture I’m going into, I trust that Citizens National Bank will have my back every step of the way,” Jason shared.
CNB supported the Kinsingers in financing the acquisition of Vetter Lumber and has continued to serve the family business with dependable, day-to-day solutions. Both lumber locations use CNB’s merchant capture and credit card services, helping the team manage transactions efficiently while keeping operations focused on serving customers.
Jason emphasized that reliability is what keeps the relationship strong, “No matter what I get into day to day, Citizens National Bank is just a call away.”
From personal banking in the ’90s to guiding the purchase and ongoing growth of their hardware and lumber business, CNB is proud to stand alongside the Kinsinger family. Their story is a reminder of what long-term, community-focused relationships can make possible and how trust built over time continues to fuel the success of local businesses.
