Always Know Your Credit Score

View it in Online or Mobile Banking

Your credit score impacts many things, such as whether or not you can purchase a car, what the interest rate you will pay on your mortgage will be, and even if you’re able to rent an apartment. Knowing this, it’s important to stay on top of what your score is and monitor it closely to be sure everything is correct on your credit report so no wrong information negatively affects it. Citizens National Bank is making it easier than ever to keep a close eye on your credit score by offering My Credit Score. This free service allows you to view your current credit score easily from online or mobile banking. By clicking through the ad you’ll have access to an explanation of what makes up your score, an abbreviated credit report, and tips for improving your score. You can see if there have been any credit inquiries on you and even if there are any public records on your credit file. The credit information is provided by TransUnion, one of the major credit reporting agencies. Checking your score through online or mobile banking does not affect your score and we encourage you to look at your information at least monthly.

It’s easy to enroll in this free service. After logging into online or mobile banking, you’ll see an ad highlighting the credit score service. Simply click on that ad and it will ask you to complete some simple questions and opt into the service. Once enrolled, you’ll see your current credit score each time you log in.
